This episode was inspired by a debate I had with a childhood friend over the word “indoctrination” a few months ago.
She believes that we can’t teach children morals or how to live happy, successful lives without indoctrinating them.
That didn’t feel right to me. So, in true nerd fashion, I researched it.
This episode is basically what I found from a wide array of sources, both faith promoting and purely scientific.
You get to decide if you believe indoctrination is necessary or if there’s a way to educate others that is just as effective, but perhaps more ethical.
SOMETHING REVOLUTIONARY IS COMING!
Last week I announced that I’m working on a tool that will make healing from religious trauma more accessible and affordable than ever. I believe that healing from religious trauma shouldn’t be a luxury item and should be accessible, affordable, and easy to understand for all.
But I’m going to need help to make it as useful to as many people as possible.
