Emancipate Your Mind: 003: Feelings Are Messengers: What Are Yours Saying?

  • by

My favorite topic to talk about! For me, this was the key to healing and self-discovery.

Going through a religious transition (or any kind of life transition) can leave you feeling a range of emotions. Each emotion is there to give you information from your inner knowing about what you need to heal and what you want in the new life you’re creating.

But here’s the catch 22: If you’re listening to this podcast, chances are, you’re coming from a background where you were taught to numb uncomfortable emotions. Emotions like anger or fear may have been attributed to Satan and you may have been taught methods to talk (or sing) yourself out of feeling these things.

This episode deep dives into why it’s important to feel through our feelings, how to begin  to feel if you’ve gone through a lifetime thought-stopping or numbing, and the general messages your emotions are trying to deliver to you.

This is one of several topics covered in my 7-week identity recovery group program, “Reclaim Your Power”. Enrollment is open now and the next class begins on January 31, 2021. We’ll deep dive into this topic even further, unlocking your ability to feel through the difficult emotions you are likely experiencing as part of your religious transition all while being held and supported with 7 weeks of coaching support.

And before I forget: The Maya Angelou quote that I butchered on the show today!

“So use that anger. You write it. You paint it. You dance it. You march it. You vote it. You do everything about it. You talk it. Never stop talking it.” – Maya Angelou

Thank you all again for spending your time with me.

Sending you all love and healing.
